Who is
Fusion?
Background and vision
Fusion was born in Sydney in the early
60s. It came out of one young mans discovery of his own spirituality
and his journey to faith. Fusion came out of his struggle to find effective
ways of communicating his newfound faith with young people on the streets
of his hometown. Fusion now operates out of 24 centres around the nation,
with hundreds of others involved in Fusion associated events in their local
communities.
Fusions Calling
To take whatever initiatives are necessary
to see justice, mercy, and compassion expressed at every level of life in
Australia by:
-
Working for change and growth in the lives of young Australians and their
families to maximise their potential;
-
Working with others for growth and change in non government and government
agencies so they are seen and experienced as cooperative, hospitable and
a source of hope;
-
Working for the understanding and transformation of Australian society so
that it has the option of finding and fulfilling its place in the world;
So that young people and their families are empowered to find a sense of
vocation in Australia and beyond and to make a positive contribution to the
spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social health of others.
Where does Fusion get its support?
Fusion is a Christian Youth and Community
organisation that draws its support from a broad cross-section of churches
of different denominations. Fusion also attracts government and community
funding for a number of its welfare and community service programs.
